Does SimplePDF process employee PII on its servers?
While a form is being filled in, Social Security numbers, bank details, and personal information stay on the person's device and are never sent to SimplePDF. When they submit, with Bring Your Own Storage the completed file goes straight to your own S3, Azure Blob Storage o SharePoint and never reaches SimplePDF's servers; without BYOS, submitted files are stored by SimplePDF.
Can I embed SimplePDF into my HR platform?
Yes. SimplePDF can be embedded as an iframe or integrated via our React, vanilla JS, or web component packages. Documents stay in the browser, and completed PDFs can be sent to your backend via webhooks. Learn more about our embed options.
Does SimplePDF support W-4, I-9, and other standard onboarding forms?
Yes. Any PDF form works with SimplePDF, including W-4, I-9, W-9, direct deposit forms, and state-specific tax withholding forms.
Can multiple employees fill out forms simultaneously?
Yes. Each employee fills their form independently in their own browser session. There's no limit on concurrent users.
Do employees need to create an account?
No. The free tier requires no account. Employees simply open the link and start filling.
Where are completed documents stored?
All PDF editing happens in the browser. When saving completed documents, the client uploads directly to the target storage using presigned URLs. You can use Bring Your Own Storage (S3, Azure Blob Storage, and SharePoint) to keep documents within your own storage.
