Does SimplePDF process confidential legal documents on its servers?
While a form is being filled in, privileged documents, client information, and case details stay on the person's device and are never sent to SimplePDF. When they submit, with Bring Your Own Storage the completed file goes straight to your own S3, Azure Blob Storage, or SharePoint and never reaches SimplePDF's servers; without BYOS, submitted files are stored by SimplePDF.
Is SimplePDF suitable for documents covered by attorney-client privilege?
Yes. Documents are edited entirely client-side, and with Bring Your Own Storage completed submissions go straight to storage you control: privileged materials stay inside your environment. This architecture preserves confidentiality by design, not by policy.
Can I embed SimplePDF into my legal platform or client portal?
Yes. SimplePDF can be embedded as an iframe or integrated via our React, vanilla JS, or web component packages. Documents stay in the browser, and completed PDFs can be sent to your backend via webhooks. Learn more about our embed options.
Does SimplePDF support court and immigration forms?
Yes. Any PDF form works with SimplePDF, including state and federal court forms, USCIS immigration forms, and custom firm templates.
Do clients need to create an account to fill forms?
No. The free tier requires no account. Clients simply open the link and start filling.
Where are completed documents stored?
All PDF editing happens in the browser. When saving completed documents, the client uploads directly to the target storage using presigned URLs. You can use Bring Your Own Storage (S3, Azure Blob Storage, and SharePoint) to keep documents within your own storage.
